Our Family Night Tradition
We set aside Monday night for an evening at home with the family. Our family home evening includes a family prayer, songs, fun activities, homemade goodies and lessons that focus on values and virtues that will strengthen our family. We believe that happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. So most of our family night lessons are inspired by the teachings of Jesus.
I started this blog to provide my children with a record of our family night experiences. I also hope that this blog can serve as a resource to others who are looking to establish the same tradition in their own families. Many of the lessons and activities described here may be applicable and enjoyable to your family as well. I know that this tradition of holding regular and meaningful family home evenings strengthens my family. And it's a tradition that I believe can strengthen families of any faith.
